Huntsville DL T'Vondre Sweat committed to Texas today. The 6-foot-3, 250 pound DL chose the Longhorns over Texas A&M, Baylor, Alabama, Arkansas and Oklahoma, among others.
Eric Nahlin on Sweat: Great fit for the d-line. Can play either discipline, especially swinging Inside on passing downs. For this DL — one where each guy attacks rather than catches blocks — athleticism trumps size. You want to grow guys into their fit while retaining athleticism. Sweat is ideal. Sweat was initially considered an A&M lean but as we’ve seen so many times through the years those declarations are often premature.
