The former Syracuse TE, Kendall Moore announces on Instagram he’s coming to Texas.

Little surprised here because our feedback indicated he might not be an asset, but with the depth chart and Texas’ immediate need for experience, the 6-foot-5, 245-pounder fits the bill.

I’ve been told he’s on the soft side, but I trust Herman and Meekins to coach him up, McKnight to motivate. I hear he excels in this department. Also told he’s a good guy, and works hard, and that was something Herman considering when ultimately taking him.

Moore hasn’t graduated, but will in May. I don’t think Herman can comment on Moore publicly.

Also, beware of hyphen curse.

Moore joins the 2017 class along with Jamari Chisholm (NE Oklahoma A&M), Sam Cosmi (Atascocita), Max Cummins (FW All Saints), Gary Johnson (Dodge City CC), Marqez Bimage (Brenham), Derek Kerstetter (San Antonio Reagan), Reese Leitao (Jenks, OK),Daniel Young (Spring Westfield), Cade Brewer (Lake Travis), Toneil Carter (Langham Creek), Joshua Rowland (MGCCC, Juco) Taquon Graham (Temple), Montrell Estell (Hooks), Kobe Boyce (Lake Dallas), Damion Miller (John Tyler), Sam Ehlinger (Austin Westlake), and Josh Thompson (Nacogdoches).
