Tausili Akana to enter the NCAA transfer portal
Texas LB/EDGE Tausili Akana plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Akana, a sophomore originally from Kahuku, Hawaii, has played in eight games in his Texas career.

Akana played in one game in 2023, making his Texas debut for a handful of snaps against the Rice Owls. In 2024, Akana saw action versus UTSA, ULM, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Florida, and Kentucky. Most of his action was on special teams. In his career, he has one total tackle.
A member of Texas’ class of 2023 from Lehi (Utah) Skyridge, Akana was ranked as the No. 131 overall prospect, the No. 12 linebacker, and the No. 2 player from Utah in the On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranked Akana as the No. 34 linebacker and the No. 3 player in Utah.
