Ten Longhorns earn preseason All-SEC honors from the league's coaches
Offensive lineman Kelvin Banks and place kicker Bert Auburn were both named to the preseason coaches’ All-SEC team, the league announced Thursday. Banks and Auburn were joined by eight teammates who made either the second or third teams.

Selected to the second team were quarterback Quinn Ewers, wide receiver Isaiah Bond, kick off specialist Will Stone, defensive back Andrew Mukuba, and defensive back Jahdae Barron. The third-team selections were EDGE Trey Moore, linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., and defensive back Malik Muhammad.
Banks has played and started in all 27 career games. He was first-team All-SEC according to the media and earned preseason first-team All-America honors from CBS Sports, ESPN, and The Athletic. He also was named to the watch lists for the Outland Trophy and the Lombardi Award.
Auburn has played in 28 career games and was a first-team All-Big 12 selection last year. He was the media pick for preseason first-team All-SEC. He established school records in 2023 for field goals made (29) and most consecutive field goals made (19).
