Texas announces program players of the game for Mississippi State
The Texas Longhorns announced program players of the game for UT’s win in its SEC debut against the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Monday morning.

Manning was 26-for-31 for 324 yards and two touchdowns, adding a rushing touchdown as well. It’s his second player of the game award this year after he received the accolade for his performance against UTSA.
Moore caught four passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns against the Bulldogs, including a pivotal 49-yard touchdown pass just before halftime.

The EDGEs were the edge for Texas. Sorrell had three total tackles including 1.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks. Simmons had a coming out party, tallying seven tackles with 3.0 for loss and 2.0 sacks plus a forced fumble.
Blackwell netted two tackles in the Longhorns’ win.
