Texas announces program players of the game for the win over Oklahoma
The Texas Longhorns had some tough decisions to make on who would take home player of the game honors for the Longhorns’ 34-3 win over Oklahoma. However, six players were honored for their work in the Cotton Bowl on Saturday.

Gunnar Helm and Quintrevion Wisner were named the offensive players of the game. Anthony Hill Jr. was the only Longhorn to take home defensive player of the game honors. Silas Bolden, Warren Roberson, and Ian Ratliff were the special teams honorees.
Helm brought home his third program honor of the season. He tallied five catches for 91 yards and a touchdown on six targets. All those led the Longhorns on Saturday.
Wisner notched 17 touches for 130 yards and a touchdown that came on a 43-yard rush late in the second quarter. He rushed 13 times for 118 yards and caught four passes for 12 yards.

Hill Jr. had one of his best games as a Longhorn. Hill Jr. had a game-high 11 tackles with two sacks and 3.5 total tackles for loss. He had a quarterback hurry and a forced fumble as well.
Despite his heroic efforts on Wisner’s fumble, Bolden was honored for his special teams work. He had four punt returns for 70 yards including a long of 55 yards.
Ratliff was praised for standing in for Michael Kern in the Cotton Bowl in his first career game. Ratliff punted three times for 133 yards including a long of 50.
Roberson was credited with one tackle.
