Vieth and Nash go over the Longhorns’ 4-0 week that saw Texas defeat Sam Houston and sweep Missouri. Texas improved to 8-1 in SEC play, and the depth played a key part. Rylan Galvan, Max Belyeu, and Adrian Rodriguez were banged up during the series in Columbia, but Texas was able to still cruise to comfortable wins over the Tigers thanks to quality players waiting in the wings.
Will Gasparino and Ruger Riojas had incredible weeks, earning player of the week and pitcher of the week honors from the SEC, respectively. Gasparino crushed the ball on multiple occasions and is starting to turn into a threat to college pitching. Riojas has become a crunch-time pitcher, but his role is up for debate.
