A thrilling weekend saw Texas baseball secure a 3–0 sweep over rival Texas A&M, highlighted by elite pitching, clutch hitting, and a record-breaking atmosphere at “The Disch.”
The atmosphere was electric, especially during the Sunday game, with deafening crowd noise, thrilling comebacks, and emotionally charged moments that elevated the home advantage.
Texas showcased its dominant pitching roster—Ruger Riojas excelled as a converted Friday starter, Dylan Volantis closed impressively, and Luke Harrison delivered a top-tier cutter-led performance.
Despite missing key players like Jared Spencer and Max Beyleu, others like Jayden Duplantier, Tommy Farmer, and Ethan Mendoza delivered career-best performances, showcasing Texas’ deep bench.
Farmer hit his first career homer, Mendoza went 3-for-4 with a clutch home run and double, and Rodriguez had a breakout game with three hits and a game-winning HR.
Across all three games, Texas demonstrated stellar defense with highlight-worthy plays in both infield and outfield—crucial in securing the narrow wins.
