Texas commit Elijah Barnes becomes On3's No. 1 linebacker in the 2025 class

Texas 2025 linebacker commit Elijah Barnes was ranked as On3’s No. 1 linebacker in the updated On300 on Monday. That is a significant milestone for both him and the Longhorns. Barnes’ rise to the top is a reflection of his remarkable performances and leadership on the field.

As the nation’s top linebacker, Barnes has earned a reputation for excelling in both run defense and pass coverage, displaying elite speed, tackling ability, and a high football IQ for Dallas (Texas) Skyline.
