Texas drops to No. 9 in latest AP poll
After a 1-1 week that included an 18-point win over the Iowa State Cyclones at home and a 81-72 loss to the Baylor Bears in Waco, the Texas Longhorns dropped a spot in the latest AP Poll. The Longhorns checked in as the No. 9 team in the country heading into the final week of the regular season.

Five Big 12 teams were included in the top 25. Kansas checked in at No. 3, Baylor was No. 7, Texas was No. 9, Kansas State earned the No. 11 ranking, and TCU was labeled as the No. 22 team in the country.
Texas faces TCU in Fort Worth this week before ending the season at home versus Kansas.
Several teams on Texas’ schedule were also included in the most recent poll. Gonzaga checked in at No. 10 while Tennessee dropped a spot from No. 11 to No. 12.
Other teams from the state of Texas in the poll included No. 1 Houston and No. 24 Texas A&M.
