Earlier today the Texas Longhorns extended an offer to 2023 Spanaway Lake (Wa.) CB Jasiah Wagoner. Wagoner is a 5-foot-11, 160 pound corner that ranks as the No. 164 prospect in the nation according to the On3 Consensus and has offers from Miami, Oregon, and Washington among others.

I mentioned in my late night recruiting notes yesterday that IT expected Wagoner to pick up an offer from Texas and the four-star was highly valued by new support staff member Joey Thomas who has extensive ties to the pacific northwest.

Earlier Eric highlighted the on-field and recruiting implications regarding QC analyst Joey Thomas joining the staff in Austin. Eric briefly mentioned Thomas’ extensive ties to the Heir 7 on 7 organization based out of Seattle and focused on Thomas’ ability with Florida recruits.

One name that IT is already hearing positive returns on due to Thomas becoming a member of the Texas staff is Jasiah Wagoner out of Spanaway Lake, Washington and the Heir 7v7 organization. I would expect Wagoner, the No. 129 prospect in the On300, to eventually be offered by Texas and to take a visit to Austin in the near future along with an entire group of Heir 7v7 teammates likely hosted by former teammate and current Texas signee Malik Agbo.

Texas has one verbal commitment in the 2023 cycle in Arlington (Texas) Seguin four-star cornerback Jamel Johnson. Johnson is the No. 180 prospect in the country according to the On3 Consensus and has an On3 NIL Valuation of $10,900. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

At 5-foot-11, 160 pounds, Jasiah Wagoner is the No. 164 ranked recruit in the country in the class of 2023, according to the On3 consensus a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 19 cornerback in the country and the No. 3 recruit from the state of Washington.

On3’s own rankings have a bit of a higher view on Wagoner than the industry average. He’s the No. 129 overall prospect and No. 15 cornerback nationally, plus the No. 3 player from his home state of Washington.

Wagoner has an On3 NIL Valuation of $12,800. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
