Texas forward Devon Pryor plans to enter the transfer portal

Texas forward Devon Pryor plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, per On3’s Joe Tipton. Pryor, a 6-foot-7, 185 pound wing from Houston (Texas) PSAT-XEA Academy, played in 30 career games in Austin.

Pryor reclassified and enrolled at Texas ahead of the 2023-24 season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Pryor played in 23 games with two starts for the Longhorns in 2024-25. He averaged 3.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game. He battled a calf injury for a good chunk of the season, but was a major part of the Longhorns’ rotation in the tail end of SEC play before the return of Chendall Weaver. His highest scoring output was a 10-point game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff

In 2023-24, he played in seven games and posted five total points.

Pryor was ranked as the No. 249 overall prospect, the No. 50 small forward, and the No. 23 player in Texas in the 2023 On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranked Pryor as the No. 35 small forward and the No. 13 player in Texas.
