Texas wing Malik Presley entered the transfer portal on Friday, per On3’s Pete Nakos. Presley is a 6-foot-6 small forward who took a redshirt year with the Longhorns this past season. A native of San Marcos, Texas, Presley transferred in from Vanderbilt last summer, and will look to find a new place to play for 2025.

During the 2023-24 season with Vanderbilt, he averaged 2.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.5 assists on 43% from the field playing 11.8 minutes per game. He was a three-star recruit, per On3, coming out of San Marcos (Texas), with a three-star rating in the On3 Industry Ranking as well. He is the first player since Devon Pryor to transfer out of the program, who departed Austin for Oregon earlier this portal cycle.

This opens up another roster spot for the Longhorns.
