“The highlights were getting to know the people at Texas better,” Mack told Inside Texas after his latest trip to UT. “Really getting to see behind the scenes. (Coach Chris Jackson’s) message to me was to just keep working, and he’ll always stay in contact. He always keeps it real with me.”
Mack dropped a top 10 a few weeks ago: Texas, LSU, Oregon, Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, Alabama, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Florida State. But two schools are standing out at the moment.
“Right now, I would say Texas and Texas A&M,” said Mack. “They are big for me.”
After seeing Austin a couple times already, what was it about this visit that made him feel comfortable?
“This time I really got to tour the facilities, and more of a calming environment instead of being at a big game,” Mack said. “I got to interact with everyone without too much going on. I like (Texas’) passing game, they have a pro style playbook, and that’s just going to get me better for the next level.”
He holds over 20 offers including LSU, Texas, Oregon, Ohio State, Florida State, Michigan, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State. He also knows what schools he wants to take official visits too.

“LSU, Texas, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Alabama, and Oregon,” Mack said, about his potential officials.
Mack was able to interact with a lot of players, but talking to Arch Manning and Ryan Wingo stood out.
“I talked to Arch a little bit,” said Mack. “We work with the same trainers, so we were chatting about that. He was just asking me about how my life is going. (Wingo) isn’t from Louisiana, but he had a great freshman year, and it was good just picking his brain.”
Texas was at Destrehan High School on Monday, where Jackson got to check in on the Pelican State product once again.
