Texas injury report for the Oklahoma game receives Thursday night update
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian announced on Thursday that Quinn Ewers would start the game versus Oklahoma. Ewers was not on the update to the SEC’s Student-Athlete Availability Report, better known as an injury report, released Thursday night.

Ewers had previously been listed as PROBABLE.
Safety Derek Williams Jr., also listed as PROBABLE on Wednesday night, was listed again as PROBABLE.
Listed as QUESTIONABLE on Wednesday were running back Colin Page, punter Michael Kern, and back-up deep snapper Tate Haver.
Page was described as QUESTIONABLE
Kern was said to be QUESTIONABLE. On Thursday, Sarkisian explained that Ian Ratliff would be Kern’s replacement if the true freshman starting punter and holder were unable to go.
Haver, the back-up to starting deep snapper Lance St. Louis, was listed as QUESTIONABLE
Running backs CJ Baxter, Christian Clark, and Velton Gardner remained OUT.
On Wednesday’s report for Oklahoma, Jayden Gibson, Jalil Farooq, Nic Anderson, Andrel Anthony, Gentry Williams, Kendel Dolby, and Geirean Hatchett were listed as OUT. They remained that way on Thursday.
Two Sooners were QUESTIONABLE on Wednesday in wide receiver Deion Burks and tight end Kade McIntyre. Both were listed as OUT.

Reporting Requirements
SEC school personnel must submit availability reports three days before each football game, with daily updates leading to a final report 90 minutes prior to game time. For basketball and baseball, reports are filed the night before the game, with an update on game day.
Player Status Designations
Players are designated as “available,” “probable,” “questionable,” “doubtful,” or “out” before game day; and as “available,” “game time decision,” or “out” on game day.
Consequences for Non-Compliance
Penalties for inaccurate or late reports range from $25,000 – $100,000 for football and up to $15,000 – $25,000 for basketball and baseball.
