As Texas prepares for its move to the SEC for the 2024 campaign, it is sure to get some less-than-friendly sendoffs from Iowa State, TCU, Baylor, and Houston and a slight preview of what’s to come in the following season during its early-year trip to Alabama.

The move to the SEC entails games in significantly larger venues. The combined capacities of stadiums at TCU and Baylor aren’t greater than that of Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. If Texas’ Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium and Oklahoma’s Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium are excluded, the Big 12 in it’s current form does not have a single stadium with a listed capacity of over 65,000. Meanwhile, the current SEC is home to 10 stadiums with 65,000 plus.

Inside Texas takes a look at the stadiums of the Longhorns, the Sooners, the rest of the Big 12, the SEC, and the record capacities for every program to illustrate what type of raucous environments Texas faithful will be able to see starting in 2024.
