“Why not Texas?” Collett said after his visit. “They have everything I want. This is a great school with great history, good culture, everything.”

The trip offered everything Collett wanted to see from the Longhorns

“It was awesome,” Collett said after his visit. “It was everything I dreamed of in a visit. For me, it’s everything past football. Academics. Opportunity after college. That’s what they have here.”

Mason Shipley was a big part of the sell, as was Jeff Banks.

“They’re always great,” Collett said about his conversations with Banks. “He’s a great guy. He always brings the energy and he’s always great towards me and my family.”

Everything was a highlight for Collett, and that’s why he joined the Longhorns’ 2026 class.

Collett is ranked by Kohl’s Kicking as the No. 2 kicker in the 2026 class.
