Georgia fell from No. 2 to No. 11 while Miami fell from No. 4 to No. 12. The Longhorns’ win over Florida propelled Steve Sarkisian’s program to the No. 3 spot in the nation, a place solidly behind No. 2 Ohio State and No. 1 Oregon.

The Longhorns are the highest ranked Southeastern Conference team in both the AP and Coaches Polls.

Teams from the SEC in the top 25 of the AP Poll included No. 6 Tennessee, No. 9 Alabama, No. 10 Ole Miss, No. 11 Georgia, No. 15 Texas A&M, No. 21 LSU, No. 23 South Carolina, and No. 24 Missouri.

Texas was ranked No. 3 in the Coaches Poll after the Longhorns were No. 5 last week. Teams on the Longhorns’ 2024 schedule in the top 25 of the Coaches Poll included No. 10 Georgia and No. 15 Texas A&M. Vanderbilt was in the top 25 but dropped out.

The Longhorns take on unranked Arkansas in Fayetteville this Saturday.
