Texas Longhorns Hoops: Texas Tech at Texas Preview
The No. 10 ranked Texas Longhorns are back on the court today playing host to a struggling Texas Tech team at The Moody Center.

The Longhorns (14-2, 3-1) are coming off a double digit comeback victory over No. 17 TCU Wednesday night, and now have an opportunity to go 4-1 in the first five Big 12 games.
The Red Raiders (10-6, 0-4) are reeling coming off a 34-point loss at No. 14 Iowa State. That was the latest in a four game losing streak to begin conference play. Texas Tech is 0-2 at home, and 0-2 on the road in conference play.
Interim head coach Rodney Terry has coached the Longhorns to seven wins in eight games.

Texas Tech and Texas tipoff at 7 p.m. Central on ESPN with Bob Wischusen (play by play) and Fran Fraschilla (analyst) calling the action.
The game will be played at the Moody Center (10,763) – Austin, Texas
The Longhorns lead the series 88-65. Texas Tech won the last meeting 61-55 February 19, 2022 in Austin.
The Rodney Terry File
Rodney Terry enters Tuesday with a career record of 170-157. He has been a head coach at the Division I level for ten year prior to joining Chris Beard’s staff in Austin.

Terry built the Fresno State program up in his time in California. The Bulldogs won 20 or more games in four of Terry’s last five seasons. That included three times in post season play. Terry has a 0-1 record in the NCAA Tournament.
The Mark Adams File
Mark Adams is in his second season as the head coach of Texas Tech, and seventh as a head coach at the Division I level. He has a career record of 81-104, but is 37-14 at Texas Tech. He led the Red Raiders to a 27-10 record last season.
Adams has also been a head coach for five seasons at the Division II level. He posted a 108-40 record at West Texas A&M from 1987-92.
Adams has a 2-1 record in the NCAA Tournament. The Red Raiders advanced to the Sweet 16 last season.
