Inside Texas takes a closer look at the latest from the Longhorns portal prospects Eric Singleton, Lee Hunter, Cole Brevard, and Brad Spence.

Eric Singleton Jr, WR, Georgia Tech

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound speedster from the Peach State is slated to see Austin early next week. He also dropped his top five on Saturday evening: Texas, Auburn, Ole Miss, LSU, and Miami.

Singleton, who is expected at Miami on Sunday-Monday, is a former three-star out of Douglasville, Ga. In 2024, he tallied 56 receptions for 754 yards and three scores, in addition to 131 rushing yards and one touchdown on 21 carries.

This would be a very interesting add to the Texas WR room. Let’s see the Horns get him on campus and go from there.

Lee Hunter, DL, Central Florida

Texas is fond of the 6-foot-4, 320-pound defensive tackle planning to hit Austin on Monday or Tuesday next week, sources tell IT. , The former four-star from Blount (Ala.) was a top 100 prospect, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, and has one year of eligibility remaining.

Hunter tallied 45 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and one sack last season after beginning his college career at Auburn.

With Cole Brevard already in the boat, Hunter would be another strong addition to Kenny Baker’s defensive line room.

Brad Spence, LB, Arkansas to Texas

Saturday morning began with a new linebacker from Fayetteville via Klein (Texas) Forest.

Spence, 6-foot-2, 238-pounder who Texas recruited in high school, recorded 54 tackles with 6.0 for loss and 4.5 sacks, and one PBU. Spence had a defensive score of 65.9 and a run defense grade of 81.5, via PFF.

Spence fills a need for a veteran linebacker to play with Anthony Hill Jr, Liona Lefau, and Tyanthony Smith.

Cole Brevard, DL, Purdue to Texas

Steve Sarkisian and his Horns added to their Saturday snagging the 6-foot-3, 335-pounder after signing with the Longhorns after his Friday visit. In 38 career games, Brevard has 38 tackles including 8.0 for loss and 2.5 sacks for the Boilermakers.

Brevard joins linebacker Brad Spence and punter Jack Bouwmeester in this portal class for Texas. There’ll certainly be a few more.
