Texas Longhorns position battles to watch (QB, LT, LB, S, NT)

If you’re a red-blooded football fan, the anticipation of the beginning of camp season is likely starting to build. It’s a time for optimism, though as you well know, Texas is coming off of a 5-7 season. Just how excited should you be? That depends on how realistic your expectations are. It’s the year before the year and that means an unsettled roster and depth chart at many positions. That written, there is a fair amount of stability, or at least predictability, within the roster. Challenges to roster superiority will occur throughout the season, especially on the offensive line, but here are the positional battles to watch as camp readies to fire up next week.
