The most pressing question for Texas right now, however, is what prospects still on the board will end up in the class. Steve Sarkisian and staff remain after many of the nations top prospects that are represented in the latest On300.

Inside Texas provides a look at where the Longhorns targets rank.

Wide receiver

DeAndre Moore Jr., Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco – *Louisville verbal
On300 Ranking: No. 196, No. 30 wide receiver

The recruitment: Georgia and Texas continue to have a very good chance to flip the Louisville soft verbal.

Ja’Kobi Lane, Mesa (Ariz.) Red Mountain – *USC commitment
On300 Ranking: Four-star 90 grade, No. 44 wide receiver

The recruitment: The USC commitment made an unofficial visit to Texas November 12. The Longhorns will keep plugging away here, but are working from behind.

Jaden Greathouse, Austin (Texas) Westlake – *Notre Dame commitment
On3 Consensus ranking: No. 162, No. 22 wide receiver

The recruitment: The Notre Dame verbal remains in contact with the Texas staff. That includes Steve Sarkisian, A.J. Milwee and Brennan Marion.

Kyle Parker, Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy – *LSU commitment
On300 Ranking: Four-star 90 grade, No. 49 wide receiver

The recruitment: The LSU commit is still listening to Texas wide receivers coach Brennan Marion. If the Longhorns made a strong push, this one could get very interesting.

Tight end

Duce Robinson, Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle
On300 Ranking: No. 21 (On300 5-star), No. 1 tight end

Texas and Robinson: USC and Georgia continued to be considered the favorites over Texas following the November 12 official visit. Oregon and Alabama round out the top five. Texas has not offered Vanderbilt verbal Ka’Morreun Pimpton following the Robinson visit. Texas is not currently expected to push for a third tight end in the class if Robinson heads to USC or Georgia.

Defensive line

David Hicks, Katy (Texas) Paetow – *Texas A&M verbal
On3 Consensus ranking: No. 16 (On300 5-star), No. 2 defensive lineman

Texas and Hicks: Hicks remains a “soft” commitment to Texas A&M following an Oregon unofficial and Oklahoma official visit the last two weekends. Texas defensive line coach Bo Davis was By Paetow Friday, but Inside Texas doesn’t expect much movement currently.

Johnny Bowens, Converse (Texas) Judson
On300 Ranking: Four-star 90 grade, No. 43 defensive lineman

The recruitment: Bowens is scheduled to announce November 24 with Oregon or Texas A&M expected to be the pick. Texas remains in contact.

Roderick Pierce, Oak Lawn (Ill.) Brother Rice – *Wisconsin verbal
On300 Ranking: Three-star 86 grade, No. 117 defensive lineman
