Texas moves up to No. 7 in latest AP Top 25 Poll
The Texas Longhorns moved up three spots to No. 7 in the latest release of the Ap Top 25 Poll.

Texas (15-2, 4-1) won a pair of home games against No. 14 TCU and Texas Tech in comeback fashion last week.
This week, Texas has a pair of road games against No. 12 Iowa State (13-3, 4-1) and West Virginia (10-7, 0-5). If the Longhorns are to stay in the Big 12 title race or keep a 14-4/13-5 type conference season alive, gaining a split on the road is imperative.
Big 12 in the AP Top 25
The Big 12 conference is represented in the Top 25 poll by six teams. Those are No. 2 Kansas, No. 7 Texas, No. 12 Iowa State, No. 113 Kansas State, No. 14 TCU and No. 21 Baylor. The Big 12 has the most teams in the Top 25 of any conference.
Houston remains No. 1 in the AP Poll. The Cougars are followed by Kansas, No. 3 Purdue, No. 4 Alabama and No. 5 UCLA.

Texas has already beaten two teams this season currently ranked in the latest poll. That is No. 6 Gonzaga (14-3) and No. 14 TCU. Both games were at home. Those remaining on the schedule ranked in the Top 25 are No. 2 Kansas (twice), No. 9 Tennessee (at Vols), No. 12 Iowa State (twice), No. 13 Kansas State (at K-State), No. 14 TCU (at TCU), No. 14 Iowa State (twice) and No. 21 Baylor (twice).
