Texas Tuesday Jan. 17 Offer Round-Up
The Texas Longhorns staff hit Alabama and Georgia today and extended a handful of offers to targets throughout the country from the Classes of 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Daylyn Upshaw, WR, Phenix City (Ala.) Central – 2025
Texas is the first offer for the 6-foot-0, 165-pound receiver from 2025. Upshaw had 30 catches for 442 yards and three touchdowns during the 2022 season.
Derick Smith, ATH, Selma (Ala.) Southside – 2025
Texas joined Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Georgia with an offer for the 6-foot-2, 190-pound On3 four-star. He was named a MaxPreps Sophomore All-American after his season with 2876 all-purpose yards, according to MaxPreps. He had 966 rushing yards and 1391 receiving yards along with 21 total touchdowns.
Makel Green, EDGE/OLB, Phenix City (Ala.) Central – 2025
Texas was the first offer for another Central product in the 6-foot-2, 205-pound EDGE-backer.
Malik Blocton, DE, Pike Road (Ala.) – 2024
The 6-foot-3, 255-pound defensive end and On3 three-star holds 12 offers including Clemson, Florida, Auburn, and Tennessee. The two-sport athlete recorded 54 tackles, 1.0 TFL, and 6.0 sacks during the 2022 season.

Zion Grady, EDGE, Troy (Ala.) Charles Henderson – 2025
Texas extended an offer to one of the nation’s top prospects for 2025 in the 6-foot-4, 210-pound, the No. 7 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus. UT joins Alabama, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas A&M on the four-star’s offer sheet. He recorded 106 total tackles, 35.0 tackles for loss, and 19 sacks during his 14-game sophomore season.
Jonaz Walton, RB, Carrolton (Ga.) Central – 2026
Texas was the 5-foot-9, 190-pounder’s fourth offer, joining Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Vanderbilt. Walton had 187 carries for 1644 yards and 20 touchdowns during his freshman season.
Ricardo Jones, DB, Warner Robins (Ga.) Northside – 2024
Texas joined the fray for the top-100 prospect out of Georgia. Tennessee, Auburn, South Carolina, Michigan, and Notre Dame are among his current offers.
