The staff issued a handful of offers on Monday, including to one of the top 2025 defensive ends in the state and two of the best punter in the 2024 class.
2025 Chad Woodfork, EDGE, Humble (Texas) Summer Creek
Texas looked toward northeast Houston on Monday, found one of the top juniors-to-be in the country, and sent him an offer.
Woodfork is listed at 6-foot-4.5, 220 pounds. On3 ranks him as the No. 49 overall prospect, the No. 4 EDGE, and the No. 7 player in Texas in the 2025 On300. Woodfork has offers from UTSA, Texas Tech, Texas State, Marshall, and Grambling.

2024 Drew Miller, P, Mediapolis (Iowa)
Jeff Banks also was active on the trail on Monday, issuing scholarship offers to two punters. One was Drew Miller, from Mediapolis in rural Iowa.
Miller is unranked by On3 and the On3 Industry Ranking. He has offers from Air Force, Army, Iowa State, Michigan, and NC State. The Cyclones are the overwhelming favorite in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 65.6 percent chance.
Miller is ranked as the No. 1 punter among underclassmen, per KornBlueKicking.
2024 Michael Kern, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas
Miller wasn’t the only punter the Longhorns offered on Monday.
Kern is unranked by On3 and the On3 Industry Ranking. His only other offer is Eastern Kentucky. He is ranked as the No. 4 underclassman punter by KornBlueKicking.
Texas currently has Stanford transfer Ryan Sanborn set to join the team in the summer. He will be a super senior and exhaust his eligibility after the 2023 season.
