Texas-Oklahoma recruiting battles inside Lone Star State lines

The Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners battle for top prospects in the state of Texas on an annual basis. Steve Sarkisian and staff won some huge battles that Oklahoma was heavily involved in throughout the 2023 cycle. Some of those included the flip of Colton Vasek, Anthony Hill, Derion Gullette, Jaydon Chatman, Payton Kirkland and S'Maje Burrell. The 2024 cycle is setting up to be more of the same with Texas and Oklahoma involved with a number of prospects in the Lone Star State.
