Kern had four punts of 50 or more yards and 10 punts inside the 20. His long on the year was 57.

A member of Texas’ class of 2024, Kern was ranked as the No. 2508 overall prospect, the No. 8 kicker, and the No. 309 player in Florida in the On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranked Kern as the No. 5 kicker and the No. 350 player in Florida.

The Longhorns have Jack Bouwmeester for the 2025 season, but the future of the position is now murky following Kern’s decision.
