Texas ranked in Nov. 22 College Football Playoff top 25

The College Football Playoff rankings are getting more scrutinized as the weeks go by and November comes to a close. Though the Texas Longhorns are nothing close to playoff contenders, Steve Sarkisian’s team still found itself within the committee’s most recent top 25.

Texas was ranked No. 23 in the November 22 CFP rankings. They were one of two four-loss teams in the latest top 25 along with No. 25 Louisville

Fellow Big 12 members TCU and Kansas State were also included in the top 25. The Horned Frogs were ranked No. 4 while the Wildcats were ranked No. 12.

The Longhorns were the No. 24 team in the rankings released Week 9. Texas was left out of the Week 10 and Week 11 rankings before returning to the list of 25 this week.

On Sunday, Texas was ranked as the No. 24 team in both the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll
