Brooks graded 85.4% in his breakout game vs Kansas, according to Pro Football Focus.
Brooks was patient in seeing the field after sitting behind future NFL running backs Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson in his first two seasons on the Forty Acres. Now, he’s the bell cow for the 2023 Longhorns rushing attack. He’s tallied 597 yards rushing and five touchdowns on 86 carries, and almost seven yards per carry.
The Longhorns will face No. 12 Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, October 7th in the Red River Shootout at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. and the game will broadcast live on ABC.
