Texas RB Roschon Johnson out for the remainder of game versus Kansas
After limping of the field in the first quarter, Texas running back Roschon Johnson was seen in street clothes on the Longhorn sideline during Texas’ game versus Kansas in Lawrence, Kan.. The Longhorns led 41-7 over the Jayhawks at the end of the third.

Johnson recently accepted an invitation to the Reese’s Senior Bowl after tallying 480 yards rushing and four touchdowns, on 79 carries in 2022. Johnson had 37 yards on six carries early in today’s contest.

The Port Neches-Groves (Texas) product, former four-star quarterback from the Class of 2019 is one of the emotional leaders in the Longhorns locker room. Johnson has 2,116 career rushing yards on 378 carries with 24 total touchdowns (21 rushing, two receiving) during his time on the Forty Acres.
The fourth-year running back converted from quarterback his freshman year and has played in 35 career games with four starts. Johnson was named to the 2022 preseason watch list for the Doak Walker Award, named a fourth-team All-Big 12 Preseason selection by Athlon Sports in 2021, and a two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection (2020-21).
