Per OddsShark’s college football odds and handicapping database, Texas is 3-3 against the spread this season.
The three losses versus the number include the outright loss to the Sooners despite entering the Cotton Bowl as a four-point favorite. The other two ATS defeats came in the season opener versus Rice and in game three versus Wyoming.
Texas only topped the Owls by 27, not enough to cover the 35.5-point spread. The Longhorns flirted with a late cover against the Cowboys, but the 21-point margin was not enough to cover the 30.5-point number.
The Longhorns won the only game they entered into as an underdog when they went to Bryant-Denny Stadium and knocked off the Alabama Crimson Tide. Nick Saban‘s team was a seven-point favorite, but the Longhorns left town with a 10-point win.
