Texas remains No. 1 in the D1Baseball top 25 despite sweep at hands of Arkansas
Despite a 1-3 week that included a sweep at the hands of the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Texas Longhorns remained the No. 1 ranked team in D1Baseball’s top 25.

The Longhorns traveled to Fayetteville, Ark. over the weekend to face rival Arkansas, and were swept in the Thursday-Friday-Saturday series. Texas dropped its first series of the season and suffered its first conference sweep as a member of the SEC, losing 9-0, 6-1, and 13-8.
Texas retained its lead atop the SEC, though its margin over the Razorbacks now sits at two games. Jim Schlossnagle’s club has series versus Florida and at Oklahoma remaining in the regular season.

Texas defeated Prairie View A&M in the midweek.
Other SEC teams in the top 25 included No. 3 LSU, No. 6 Georgia, No. 7 Arkansas, No. 8 Auburn, No. 11 Vanderbilt, No. 15 Tennessee, No. 17 Oklahoma, No. 23 Alabama, and No. 24 Ole Miss. Other teams from Texas’ 2025 schedule in the rankings were No. 20 Louisville.
Texas hosts Lamar on Tuesday before welcoming Florida for the final home series of the season.
