Texas set to host two important official visitors, including one committed to a SEC rival
The list of prospects heading to Austin this weekend to see the No. 3 Texas Longhorns battle the No. 24 Kansas Jayhawks in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium continues to grow, but it is headlined by two official visitors from the 2024 class. One is an offensive line prospect from a national powerhouse committed to a SEC school, while the other is a sought-after EDGE recruit with several regional and national recruiting rivals in pursuit.

2024 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei OL and Auburn commit DeAndre Carter and 2024 Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day EDGE Solomon Williams will make their way to the Forty Acres for official visits this weekend.
Carter, a 6-foot-3.5, 340-pound interior lineman, committed to Auburn on September 3 over the Longhorns. However, Texas offensive coordinator Kyle Flood and company have not given up in their pursuit. Carter will have a teammate constantly in his ear about the Longhorns now that On3 Industry Ranking five-star Brandon Baker is a Texas commit.
Carter is ranked as the No. 146 overall prospect, the No. 9 interior offensive lineman, and the No. 16 player in California according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. On3 ranks Carter as the No. 57 interior offensive lineman and the No. 45 prospect in California.

Williams, a 6-foot-2, 255-pound EDGE, will be making a return trip to the Forty Acres. Williams traveled to Austin during the summer with members of his high school coaching staff. This weekend, the makes the return trip with his family.
Williams is ranked as the No. 295 overall prospect, the No. 23 EDGE, and the No. 36 prospect in Florida in the On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranks Williams as the No. 181 overall prospect, the No. 19 EDGE, and the No. 25 player in Florida.
