The 6-foot-4, 300-pound four-star and Texas signee performed earlier this month and came away impressed with the experience, learned new techniques, and generally had a good time.

“It means a lot to get the experience and everything,” Robinson told On3. “I got to go against some of the guys that are top-ranked in the country. It was a good experience.”

What were his takeaways from the practice and event?

“I learned you have to play through adversity when things don’t go my way,” Robinson said. “Learned you have to be ready to play when you’re on the field.”

Robinson is ready to hit Austin next month. He was a part of On3’s No. 3 recruiting class for the 2024 cycle.

“I’m excited to start a new journey in my life,” said Robinson. “Texas’ atmosphere felt like a family. I just want to go there, get my body right, learn everything about the defense and get in the best shape.”

Excerpt from the Recruiting Notebook:

The Projection: Good height for interior line. Could fit at 3-tech or nose. Good ankle, hip and knee bend. Can stay low off the snap and usually displays good leverage. Active hands with some swim/rip moves. Feet are quick and generally stay active. Good straight line speed and change of direction for his size. Delivers a decent stun to the blocker and upper body strength is impressive. Plays head up and is looking to diagnose the play early. Against the run, he flattens out to keep his gap. Shows good play strength at the point of attack. Usually anchors with really good leverage. High motor. Closes the last few yards quickly. In pass situations, will put together legitimate combinations to out leverage the blocker. Productive tackler for an interior lineman.”
