Texas still ranked in both the AP, Coaches Polls ahead of Big 12 opener
The voters liked what they saw from the Texas Longhorns in their 41-20 win over the UTSA Roadrunners, but it’s safe to say they didn’t love what they saw.

Texas cracked the top 20 in the Coaches Poll, moving up one spot to the No. 19 position after entering last week ranked as the No. 20 team. In the AP Poll, the Longhorns dropped a spot going from No. 21 to No. 22.

Texas’ next opponent, Texas Tech, was not ranked in either poll.
The Big 12 was well-represented in both polls. The AP ranked Oklahoma No. 6, Oklahoma State No. 9, and Baylor No. 17. The Coaches Poll ranked Oklahoma No. 6, Oklahoma State No. 8, and Baylor No. 17.
The only other team from Texas ranked in either poll was Texas A&M. The Aggies were No. 23 in the AP Poll and No. 20 in the Coaches Poll.
