Texas targeting 2025 Chapel Hill dynamic duo, Rickey Stewart Jr. and Demetrius Brisbon
Tyler (Texas) Chapel Hill has seen a lot of success on the field over the last three seasons. The Bulldogs are loaded with hard-working talent and have a tremendous coaching staff. Two of the main reasons for the long playoff runs are juniors Rickey Stewart Jr. and Demetrius Brisbon.

The highly-productive duo and SMU commitments made a trip to Austin on January 20th for UT’s junior day. Brisbon was offered last summer after a strong camp showing. Stewart picked up his offer before leaving campus last weekend.
“It was really exciting being here today, a real experience I’ve never felt before,” Stewart told Inside Texas. “I was too happy when I got the offer. Coach Sark and Coach Choice, they are great coaches. Two coaches that I’m building a real bond with. I’m learning more than just football, but being a great person.”
His teammate had similar sentiments.
“With Coach (Blake) Gideon, he’s a great man,” Brisbon told IT. “He speaks on nothing but facts. He’s not ever going to lie to you. He’ll never tell you something false. He wants you to be the best that you can be. He really wants to see the development of your success. That’s really what I love about them two guys (Sark and Gideon). Coach (Terry) Joseph is a great man too. And now all the Alabama guys are coming to Austin.”
What stood out about the visit, the event, and everything on the Forty Acres?
“The way they all treat each other,” said Stewart. “They’re like family. Basically, just there’s more to them than just football. (Being committed to SMU) is something I have to go home and talk to my family about.”
Brisbon was proud of his teammate for earning a similar offer.
“What stood out most to me was seeing my boy get offered,” said Brisbon. “Him getting that Texas offer, it was a real good experience again. I’m definitely going to get back up here for an OV this summer.”
The numbers from this pair are ridiculous beginning with Brisbon. He’s accumulated 5,237 yards and 69 touchdowns on 340-of-572 passing. He’s also added 4,493 yards rushing and and 73 more touchdowns over the last three seasons.

As for Stewart, he’s notched 6,098 yards rushing and 64 touchdowns on 630 carries, while adding 400 yards receiving and six scores on 28 catches. They’ve done this helping head coach Jeff Riordan lead Chapel Hill to the state semifinals twice in 2021 and 2022, and a state runner-up finish in 2023.
The biggest question remaining is where these two will land in college in 2025. Both East Texas stars hold double-digit offers from some of the nation’s top programs including LSU, Oregon, Michigan, Ole Miss, and TCU.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Brisbon ranks as the No. 339 overall prospect in the country and No. 26 safety in the nation. On3 has him as the No. 214 overall prospect in America and No. 18 overall safety.
