Iowa State enters play in a four-way tie for second place in the Big 12 Conference after topping BYU, 45-13, last week. ISU has beaten Texas three of the last four trips to Ames.
A Texas win would be the 946th all-time victory, the fourth-winningest college football history. It would also mark the first 10-1 start for a Steve Sarkisian led team and the best for the Longhorns since 2009 (11-0). It would also be the Longhorns’ first 10-win season since 2018 and the first 10-win regular season since 2009.
