1st quarter
•Quinn Ewers did well to move the chains even when the offense was behind schedule
•Not worried about the opening drive interception
•Defense only allowed 62 yards in the quarter with 42 yards from two plays
•Jaylon Guilbeau gave Diego Pavia the sideline, fix that and it’s a field goal attempt
2nd quarter
•Jaydon Blue is a freak of nature, he is deadly in open space
•Offensive line penalties and unavoidable sacks cost a chance for a field goal (if not a touchdown)
•Good job by the punt unit, particularly DeAndre Moore Jr. for a punt downed at the one yard-line
•Great defense from Trey Moore to not let Vanderbilt get a first
•Ewers showed a bit more confidence in his decisions and passing
•DeAndre Moore continues to have a great half
•Anthony Hill Jr. dropped a pick, but Michael Taaffe forced a fumble a few plays later
•In hindsight I wish Texas ran out the clock instead of going 3-and-out and letting them get a FG attempt
3rd quarter
•Defense came out playing sound, smart defense, just getting the job done well
•Lucky to avoid redzone interception (off of Quintrevion Wisner’s hands) which led to Texas’ first field goal in a three-point win
•Unfortunate second deflected pass leading to an interception for Quinn
•DPI against Texas on a 4th and 7, extends drive for Vandy that leads to seven points
•Liona Lefau tips a pass that might have been picked off by Jelani McDonald in the end zone. Instead it’s caught for a touchdown

4th quarter
•Ewers doing enough but not getting help from penalties/lack of good runs early
•Defense playing well in the first half of the 4th quarter
•Vernon Broughton penalty was huge, the game should have ended 34-17
•Kobe Black played great defense

Overall
•Ewers seemingly has returned to his “old self”
•McDonald and Taaffe really stepped up in a big way
•Offensive line needs more push in the run game
•The effort from Wisner was great as usual, had some really nice runs
•Hello to Amari Niblack! Welcome to the party.
•Anthony Hill Jr. was all over the field as per usual
•DeAndre Moore Jr. with another multi touchdown game
•Going to miss Broughton’s presence in the first half versus Florida
