The Big 12 boasts a number of experienced quarterbacks
Just doing some off-season research and found this interesting. The new 14-team Big 12 has nine returning QB starters. I’ve listed their stats below, in order of QB rating from a year ago.

But what’s perhaps more interesting is that every single Big 12 team has a returning starter at QB of some sort, they just happened to have started at other schools or lost their job initially to injury.
Read on for more.

- TCU – Chandler Morris (entered season as starter)

- BYU – Kedon Slovis (started at USC and Pitt)
-Both Jalon Daniels and Will Howard are stingy with the ball. Just four interceptions on the season despite leading relatively explosive offenses.

-Daniels, Blake Shapen and Hunter Dekkers each completed 66 percent of their passes. Dillon Gabriel and John Rhys Plumlee were both in the 62-63 percent range.
-The interception totals of Shapen (10) and Dekkers (14) greatly reduced their rating. Otherwise, the two QBs would have rated among the conference’s best.

What does this mean for Quinn Ewers?
I’d like to see Ewers complete 63-65 percent of his passes while keeping his TD-INT ratio 3.5:1-4:1. If Ewers accomplishes that, we’re looking at a Big 12 championship appearance.
