Midwest Region: Everything you need to know

The Texas Longhorns are the No. 2 seed in the Midwest Region of the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Texas has received a number of expert predictions to end up in Houston in the Final Four out of the regional.

If the Longhorns are to make a deep March Madness run, they will have done so in a region full of offensive fire power, and strong head coaching resumes.

The Midwest Region features 11 teams in the top 100 in scoring offense. That includes nine teams in the top 100 in the country in field goal percentage, and eight teams in the top 100 in three-point field goal percentage.

The head coaching resumes are full of NCAA Tournament experience, and success. Three head coaches in the Midwest Region have led a team to a Final Four. Those are Kelvin Sampson, Bruce Pearl and Jim Larranaga. Three others have led teams to Elite Eight appearances, including Sean Miller with four Elite Eight appearances. Two others have led teams to the Sweet 16.
