The Texas Longhorns' first-string defense did not deploy a base defense, or 3-4, look very often while facing the Colorado State Rams. That follows, considering the Rams utilized an Air Raid attack. More defensive backs on the field make a team better suited to stop passing offenses than more defensive tackles. Something way different is likely to take place on Saturday. Michigan runs a style of offense that often features multiple tight ends, which therefore creates more gaps for the defense to manage in the run game. A two-tight end set creates eight gaps for the defense to be wary of.
