The Texas Longhorns' 2025 class officially moves in today
The Texas Longhorns are already turning the page to the 2025 season, starting with move-in day for the rest of the top-ranked 2025 signing class. While a few players enrolled early and were able to participate in practices and playoffs, the majority are just now arriving in Austin.

I had the chance to speak with Elijah Barnes and his father about finally making the move to Austin and officially joining the Longhorn program. Barnes expressed how excited he is to now call Austin home and how eager he is to get to work. Though he didn’t play in the playoff game against Ohio State, Barnes admitted that the loss left a bad taste in his mouth, motivating him even more to prove himself and help Texas return to that stage. He emphasized his readiness to work hard and do whatever it takes to contribute to the team’s success.

Barnes’ father shared his confidence in the program, stating that he feels comfortable knowing his son is in good hands at Texas. He praised the coaching staff for their commitment to developing players both on and off the field, emphasizing that it’s about more than just football.
According to Barnes, the rest of the 2025 class shares his mindset. They’re all eager to put their heads down, grind, and help build on the momentum Texas has created. It’s clear this group is ready to embrace the challenge and continue the work needed to elevate the Longhorns to the next level.
