The Texas Longhorns were ranked No. 5 in the latest AP poll, moving up one spot during the program’s second bye week.

The Longhorns are behind No. 1 Oregon, No. 2 Georgia, No. 3 Ohio State, and No. 4 Miami (Fla.). Oregon hoarded all 62 first-place votes.

Teams from the SEC in the top 25 include No. 2 Georgia, No. 7 Tennessee, No. 11 Alabama, No. 14 LSU, No. 15 Texas A&M, No. 16 Ole Miss, and No. 24 Vanderbilt. Missouri and South Carolina were in the receiving votes category.

The Longhorns face one team still in the top 25 during the rest of their regular season schedule in the No. 15 Texas A&M Aggies.

The Longhorns were ranked No. 5 in the Coaches Poll. Other SEC teams in the Coaches Poll included No. 2 Georgia, No. 6 Tennessee, No. 11 Alabama, No. 12 Ole Miss, No. 13 LSU, No. 16 Texas A&M, No. 22 Missouri, and No. 25 Vanderbilt.

Texas hosts Florida this weekend.
