Thirteen 2025 Texas Longhorns commits ranked in the updated On300

Thirteen out of the Texas Longhorns’ 25 commitments in the class of 2025 were included in the updated 2025 On300 on Monday, with two pledges earning five-star billing and five #AllGas25 commits ranked within the top 50.

Texarkana (Texas) Pleasant Grove EDGE Lance Jackson earned five-star status and was ranked as the No. 8 overall prospect, the No. 2 EDGE, and the No. 3 player in Texas.

Galveston (Texas) Ball S Jonah Williams was the other Longhorn commit to earn five-star status. He was ranked as the No. 15 overall prospect, the No. 1 safety, and the No. 5 player in Texas.

The Longhorns boasted three other commits in the top 50.

Alief (Texas) Hastings EDGE Smith Orogbo was ranked No. 31 overall. He retained four-star status as On3 has only issued five-stars to 25 players thus far in the 2025 cycle.

Dallas (Texas) Skyline linebacker Elijah Barnes was the No. 34 overall prospect and the No. 1 linebacker.

Sachse (Texas) wide receiver Kaliq Lockett was ranked No. 36 in the nation by On3.

The Longhorns had other players make the top 100, including a trio from the state of Florida. Port Charlotte (Fla.) DT Myron Charles was ranked as the No. 58 overall prospect. Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin WR Jaime Ffrench was the No. 66 overall prospect. Tampa (Fla.) Wiregrass Ranch cornerback Graceson Littleton was the No. 73 overall prospect.

Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon was the No. 78 overall prospect.

Outside the top 100 were Spring (Texas) Dekaney tight end Nick Townsend, who checked in at No. 105 overall. Folsom (Calif.) defensive tackle Josiah Sharma was ranked No. 161 in the nation. Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist running back James Simon was ranked No. 200 overall.

Recent 2025 reclassification Zelus Hicks was just inside the top 300, checking in at No. 295 overall.

The only commit in the most recent top 300 that dropped out was Tyler (Texas) Chapel Hill running back Rickey Stewart.

Texas’ class is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation and No. 2 in the SEC. The No. 1 class currently belongs to Ohio State with Georgia checking in at No. 2.
