The Texas defense had its worst performance of the season in the Swamp on Saturday after UT’s 29-21 loss to Florida from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Here are the defensive grades.

DEFENSE
DL/EDGE – Cole Brevard, 66.7, Hero Kanu, 66.5, Maraad Watson, 62.3, Colin Simmons, 79.1, Lance Jackson, 65.8, Colton Vasek, 60.4, Zina Umeozulu, 69.5, Alex January, 64.1
Simmons played well, especially in the second half, adding four tackles and one tackle for loss. Kanu led the group with six tackles and Watson added four stops. Overall, very underwhelming performance.
LB – Anthony Hill Jr, 63.1, Liona Lefau, 58.3, Tyanthony Smith, 81.1
Hill Jr led the team with 14 tackles, while Smith continued his strong play adding seven tackles and one tackle for loss. Lefau notched five tackles.
CB – Jaylon Guilbeau, 67.4, Kade Phillips, 68.8, Kobe Black, 34.2
