This past weekend, the Trench Warfare Pass Rush School took center stage in Richardson, Texas, bringing together some of the top young defensive linemen in the country. Led by Brandon Tucker, the camp remains one of the premier training grounds for pass rushers, focusing on fundamentals, advanced techniques, and classroom education on NIL opportunities and the transition to college football.

Each year, the camp attracts top-tier talent and emerging underclassmen looking to refine their skills and gain valuable experience against elite competition. This year’s event was no different, featuring high-profile recruits, rising stars, and former alumni who have gone on to excel at the collegiate and NFL levels.

Top Performers: 2027 Talent Emerging as Texas Priorities

The 2027 recruiting class featured some of the most dominant performances at the camp, with multiple players already holding offers from the University of Texas and other major programs.

2027 Denton (Texas) Guyer DT Khyren Haywood – A powerful interior force with exceptional quickness and strength, Haywood has already earned an offer from Texas and is being closely monitored by several other top programs.

2027 Dallas (Texas) Lake Dallas DL K’Adrian Redmond – A disruptive presence along the defensive front, Redmond showcased elite movement and technique, proving why Texas is prioritizing him in the 2027 class.

2027 Denton (Texas) Guyer DE/TE Zane Rowe – At 6-foot-5, and 225 pounds, Rowe displayed impressive versatility, excelling both as a pass rusher and a tight end. His skill set has already drawn attention from major programs, including Texas.

Beyond the 2027 standouts, upperclassmen also made a name for themselves at the camp.

2026 Aledo (Texas) DT Tymon Meeks – A physically dominant lineman, Meeks stood out in one-on-one drills, using his strength and explosiveness to overpower opponents. Meeks has an early offer from Colorado.

2026 Mansfield (Texas) ATH Lake Ridge Camden Kennedy – At 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, Kennedy’s elite speed off the edge, combined with his track background, made him one of the most dynamic pass rushers at the event. His athleticism also translates to the offensive side of the ball, as he plays wide receiver in high school, showcasing his ability to make plays on both sides of the field.

Former Players and NFL Mentorship

A defining characteristic of Trench Warfare Pass Rush School is the mentorship from former participants who have excelled at the college and professional levels.

This year, Jacqueis Smith, a former Texas Longhorns analyst and assistant edge coach, now coaching for the Atlanta Falcons, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of discipline, technical mastery, and work ethic for young pass rushers striving to reach the next level.

The camp has a strong track record of developing high-level college and NFL players, including Colin Simmons, Trevor Goosby, Alex January, Byron Murphy, Zina Umeozulu, Shemar Turner, Cam Robertson, and Caden Kittler.

These players serve as proof of Trench Warfare’s impact, showing how the camp’s technical training, competitive drills, and mentorship prepare athletes for college football and beyond.

Texas Longhorns Making Their Presence Felt in 2027 Recruiting

One of the biggest takeaways from this year’s event was Texas’ strong involvement in the 2027 recruiting class, as multiple Trench Warfare standouts are already Longhorn targets.

With Haywood, Redmond, and Rowe all holding Texas offers, it’s clear that the Longhorns are prioritizing the defensive trenches in their future recruiting strategy. Their performances at Trench Warfare only solidified their status as some of the top defensive linemen in Texas for 2027.
