Moore has two years to play two seasons in Austin. He earned American Athletic Conference defensive player of the year honors in 2023, the Roadrunners’ first as members of the AAC. Moore recorded 45 tackles with 17.5 TFL and 14 sacks along with one forced fumble, one interception, and four passes defended. That followed a freshman All-American season in 2022 where he tallied 59 tackles with 18 of them for loss and 8.0 sacks.
Moore spent his high school days at Smithson Valley High School in San Antonio. He was unranked as a prep prospect. At the time of his commitment, Moore was the No. 3 EDGE in the transfer portal per On3.
He’s the third portal addition for the Longhorns in the 2024 cycle along with Houston wide receiver Matthew Golden and Clemson defensive back Andrew Mukuba.

Evaluation from the Recruiting Notebook
Strengths: Remarkably twitchy and quick in short spaces. Good acceleration and excellent top end speed for the position. Very good upper body strength. Frequently aligns as a standup 7 alignment. Teams do seem to run away from him. Remarkably productive with tackles for loss and sacks. Aggressively will set the edge and will both box the edge and wrong-arm the puller. Frequently affects the passer as he walks the tackle back.

Areas for Improvement / Concerns: A bit undersized for the position. Will struggle at times against tackles with good size and tends to get swallowed by double teams. Will use spin and power moves, but doesn’t consistently keep his hands active. Seems odd that there aren’t more stunts and twists with him on tape.
