WATCH: Quinn Ewers hits Isaiah Bond for opening-drive touchdown
After a quick three-and-out for the Texas defense, Quinn Ewers and the offense wasted little time getting on the scoreboard. Ewers hit wide receiver Isaiah Bond for a 7-yard scoring strike and the early, 7-0, lead for Texas in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday night in Austin.

Bond, an Alabama transfer, caught three balls for 34 yards on the opening drive. But this particular pass was an absolute dart.
Texas went 84 yards on the opening drive on eight plays, with 3:52 coming off the clock in the first quarter. Ewers was 7-of-8, for 77 yards passing and one touchdown on the drive.
