Welcome to the new InsideTexas.com

by:Bridgeland073008/09/08

Welcome to the new home for InsideTexas.com! Not only do we have a new, beautiful and functional home, we’ve substantially upgraded our neighborhood, joining forces with ESPN to provide unparalleled Longhorn coverage.
The new InsideTexas.com, an official ESPN affiliate site, will feature all the unique and entertaining Longhorn football, football recruiting, basketball and baseball coverage you’ve come to expect – the weekly Inside Scoop, the Inside Texas Members only message board, the Inside Texas Coaches Corner message board, and all the analysis and commentary from the Inside Texas staff, including Ross Lucksinger, Bill Frisbie, Mike Blackwell, recruiting analyst Jeff Howe and photographer Will Gallagher, and special contributors Pat Culpepper, James Brown, Drew Kelson and Jeff Conner. Inside Texas will also syndicate content and video presented on ESPN.com that relates to the Longhorns, plus gain exclusive access to ESPN quality recruiting video and the excellent recruiting coverage and database information supplied by recent ESPN acquisition Student Sports (and to their Nike Camps, the Elite 11, etc.) and Scouts, Inc. (the nation’s premiere high school recruiting, professional football and pro and college basketball and baseball scouting organization, not to be confused with our former publishing partner Scout.com).

Inside Texas will provide content for the Texas team page at ESPN.com.“While Inside Texas experienced significant growth in our seven years partnered with Scout, there is no doubt that our independence will enhance our product from a form, function and customer service standpoint and this affiliation with ESPN will enhance our content offerings,” Inside Texas Co-Publisher Clendon Ross said. “(Co-Publisher) Michael Pearle and I are thrilled that our vision of providing entertaining, informative, timely and journalistically sound Longhorn coverage matches ESPN’s plans for its expanding college team-specific and high school recruiting coverage.”

“We’re also extremely excited about providing free subscriptions to members of the United States military, whose service and sacrifice is invaluable to all of us in this country,” Ross added.
