Here’s what Texas players had to say after the game.

Texas QB Quinn Ewers: “Been in situations where adversity has struck many times. I guess it’s kind of like a blessing in disguise because with it happening before, we know how to react to it and I know how to react to it.”

Quinn Ewers: “It’s definitely tough dealing with certain injuries. These guys can say the same thing. You just want to be out there with your guys and you feel guilty when you’re not just because of the hard work you put in.”

Texas RB Quintrevion Wisner: “It definitely felt like when it came down to it, I would have to do what needed to be done for the team to come out with a victory.”

Quintrevion Wisner: “No matter what type of game it is, whenever my name is called, my job is to step up and do my job.”

Quintrevion Wisner: “As the game goes on, the more I get comfortable running the ball, seeing my reads, and get to my landmarks. The more I’m able to be explosive in my cuts and my runs.”

Texas DT Alfred Collins: “We just don’t like people in our paint.”Texas WR Matthew Golden on Quintrevion Wisner: “He was waiting for his time to come and he executed.”

What kind of statement did this defense make tonight? Alfred Collins: “Best in the nation.”

Texas TE Gunnar Helm: “We have a lot of faith in our defense.”

Texas DB Jahdae Barron: “Yeah, we had it in the back of our heads that we wanted to be in Atlanta. But in order to do that, we had to handle business.”

Texas DT Vernon Broughton: “We’re just getting started. We’ve got to keep working. A win is a win, but we’ve got to keep working.”

Vernon Broughton on his thoughts ahead of the 4th and goal: “Don’t let them get in the end zone.”

Texas DB Michael Taaffe on the Jake Ehlinger GameDay sign: “I feel sorry for the person that posted that sign. I feel sorry for him, because I don’t know what he’s going through or how much he’s going through in life to think that was a good idea, to think that was okay, to think that was appropriate for anything. Second thing is just so everybody knows out there, Jake Ehlinger didn’t die because he overdosed. I want everybody to know he was poisoned. He loved this team so much and I wish that he could be a part of this, but he was drugged. He was not overdosed. He was not a drug addict by any means. I want to make that very clear.”

Texas LB Anthony Hill on the 4th down stop: “We were excited because we feel like nobody’s getting in the end zone with us. If you think you’re going to just run right at us for one yard, I feel like you’ve lost your mind. I mean, that’s not going to happen.”
